Daylight saving starts tonight, or should you say tomorrow morning across Australia except the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Western Australia.

Here's your quick pocket guide on daylight saving as Australia comes into the warmer months.

You can feel the pain - but this isn't an isolated experience. We've also had challenging interactions with other telcos and tech companies. They're so unhelpful that sometimes it's hard to determine whether you're talking to a real person or a computer. In fact, makes you wonder whether the new generation AI will mean better outcomes and a more pleasant experience for customers.

A furious Optus customer has slammed the telco giant for wasting “30 minutes of my life” after a simple request to cancel a mobile plan.

Oh boy, that's not good news. Just means Australian businesses have to be more vigilant and can't afford to be complacent.

It's an interesting statistic though. While Australia is the 8th most targeted country, by comparison, our cost of living is ranked 11th, our GDP is ranked 12th, our average annual income is ranked 13th, and our population size is ranked 55th (various sources).

Cybersecurity experts warn Australian businesses are under threat as the nation remains one of the most targeted for ransomware attacks.

Looks like this story isn't going away any time soon. She's not sorry because she told her truth. While she might be good at what she does, surely there's still room for humility and empathy, rather than arrogance and pride?

"There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance." - John C. Maxwell

Arrogant to think it. Arrogant to say (type) it. A person's value is more than the money that they have or make, and while it seems she values herself highly (at least above others) because of her earning capacity, that table can always turn quickly and unexpectedly too. It would be interesting to see where this goes if she sues her ex-employer.

In a stunning fall from grace Brisbane’s so called “No 1 real estate agent” has been sacked from her agency for mocking tenants in a local Facebook group.

The latest developments in the Plutus scam. As long as this story has been in the media, it always draws references to the son or daughter of "former ATO deputy commissioner Michael Cranston". While Michael Cranston was not accused of any wrongdoing, it seems his name will always be in some way associated with the Plutus scam because of his children.

Adam Cranston, the son of former Australian Tax Office deputy commissioner, will soon be sentenced for his role in a $105 million tax evasion conspiracy he ran with his sister and three others.

Realistically it could have been worse for Target, potentially following in the footsteps of other failed retailers. Fortunately, with Westfarmers it was able to roll into Kmart and focus on a new path and provide a different case study for years to come.

Target and Kmart will be merged into a dual-brand retail giant worth $10bn as the companies move to make the most of the cost of living crisis.
