As we reach the end of the working year in Australia, we pause to think about 2021. What a year it has been. In the employment law space we have certainly seen the impact of the pandemic - with a constantly changing legal environment depending on the state of play in each of the jurisdictions our clients are based, the end of Job Keeper, the roll out of Job Saver, mandatory testing in some industries, mandatory vaccinations in others, and ultimately all of us trying to manage health and safety in the best way we can. We have seen the economic concerns faced by businesses (and the flow on impact to employees), the mental health load on employees, and the sheer exhaustion that this year has bought.
We wish all our clients and our network a very happy, healthy and safe holiday period - and here's to a much better 2022!
