Personal injury law in New South Wales is a branch of law that deals with the legal rights and responsibilities of individuals who have been injured in a variety of circumstances, including car accidents, workplace accidents, medical negligence, and public liability incidents.

In New South Wales, there are strict time limits for making a personal injury claim. Generally, a claim must be made within three years of the date of the accident, although there are some exceptions to this rule. It is important to seek legal advice as soon as possible after an accident to ensure that you do not miss any important deadlines.

Courtlegal specialises in Personal Injury Law. If you have had an accident and need to discuss your rights please call our Accredited Specialist Adam Court on 02 99975142 for a free first consultation.

A woman was killed and a man seriously injured when two boats collided on Pittwater on Sunday night. NSW Ambulance reports that just after after 7pm, paramedics were called to Elvina Bay, on the western side of Pittwater, after triple zero calls about the collision.
Four paramedic road crews, three Special Operations Team paramedics, two NSW Ambulance Inspectors, and two Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopters, each with a critical care doctor and a critical care paramedic on board were sent to the crash scene, which is inaccessible by road.
NSW Ambulance said that working as part of a multi-agency rescue operation, a critical care team from the Toll Ambulance helicopter was winched down to the patient on a jetty near the site of the collision.
Paramedics treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, for cuts and abrasions.
He was taken to Church Point aboard a Water Police launch, then driven by ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Christie Marks said that despite the best efforts of all responders, a woman died at the scene.
“Our aeromedical team did really well accessing the patient under the circumstances," Insp. Marks said.
“The (male) patient suffered multiple cuts and bruises to his face and legs, for which paramedics provided pain management.
“This was a major mobilisation of emergency services in very difficult circumstances – pitch black, across cold water, in a very inaccessible location.
“I’m sorry that there’s been such a tragic outcome in this case.”
