On 9 August, our Hayley will be saying goodbye to around 35cm of her hair and making the cut back to a bob — all for an incredible cause.

Her hair will be donated to Hair with Heart, helping create wigs for children experiencing hair loss.

To make the moment count even more, she’s also raising funds to support the amazing work Hair with Heart does for children and young people facing hair loss.

Such an amazing thing to do — we’re all cheering you on, Hayley 💚

OL Senior Associate, Lana Black, was proud to attend the Hunter TAFE Foundation Awards, where she had the pleasure of presenting 4 scholarships to deserving students.

These scholarships were made possible through funds raised at the Bean Counters Ball — of which Lana assisted organising as a committee member — a fantastic example of what can be achieved when our community comes together.

It was an inspiring morning, highlighting the dedication and potential of local students, and reinforcing the importance of supporting education pathways. Congratulations to all the recipients — we can’t wait to see what you achieve! 🎓👏

The Fair Work Commission has handed down the annual wage review today.

Australia's national minimum wage will increase by almost 6%, and modern award wage rates will increase by 4.75% as of 1 July 2026.

The Commission cited inflation and cost of living pressures, while also balancing concerns about economic uncertainty as key factors in its decision.

Let’s hear it for our Player of the Month – Callie! 👏

Recognised for truly living our Own It value, Callie consistently takes initiative, improves how we work, and leads by example. She goes above and beyond, treating the business like her own and always raising the bar for those around her.

Giving back is an important part of who we are, and each Player of the Month gets to donate to a charity of their choice. This month, Callie’s donation goes to Dementia Australia – a wonderful organisation providing support, education, and advocacy for people living with dementia, their families, and carers.

It was valuable to hear more about the University’s Looking Ahead 2030 direction and the focus on strengthening industry collaboration across skills, research, innovation and future workforce pathways for the region.
