For the un-initiated this is what state sanctioned domestic violence looks like.

This failure of the Australian family courts system has allowed a child to be turned against her father.

It has enabled ongoing systems abuse which includes significant emotional, psychological and financial abuse.

The impact will be a child alienated from a parent which will have a generational impact on this family and their community.

Why?

Because current policy fails to protect vulnerable children and their families!

Each Thursday at 3pm a Father attends the local school to collect his daughter.

Each Thursday at 3:15pm he takes a photo to prove he was there and leaves without seeing his child.

The Family Court made interim orders in February for his family to spend 3 hours with her once a week unsupervised.

It’s now October and Dad and her grandparents haven’t seen or heard from her once in that time.

We asked our government for reforms to Family Law and this is what our children and families are left with!

That’s why we started the Dads Support Group and deliver it via Zoom nationally.

Merry Christmas from the Newcastle Dads Support Centre.

The ABF is raising funds to put together gift packs for dads not seeing their kids and post them out for Christmas.

If you would like to contribute you can either drop items into a Dads Support Centre near you or make a donation.

A couple of Monday's ago we kicked off the ABF’s Christmas for Dads who have no access to their kids.

It’s where we pass around the hat and raise enough money put together gift packs and post them out to the fathers we have supported through 2021.
