🏢 What does 10-year building defect protection actually mean?

Decennial Liability Insurance (DLI) can provide 10 years of protection for qualifying building defects affecting common property in strata buildings — but it isn’t a blanket 10-year warranty for every defect.

Recent NSW reforms have also introduced changes to the framework, making it important for apartment owners, Owners Corporations, builders and developers to understand their rights and responsibilities.
