Hey gang today has been a really long day for the Nambour RSL Sub Branch, Welfare team. Ten hours and almost 200 klms later we are at home enjoying a well earned cuppa. The day started of with Naomi and I picking up one of our widows for an operation in Coloundra. 7 am start to the day. Got her to the hospital with time to spare. Then we made the long trip to Tewantin for a funeral of Drew a man I had served with. The funeral was well attended with many veterans paying their respects to him and the family. No sooner had we got back from the funeral Naomi got the call to pick up our widow in Coloundra. She again jumped in the car picked her up for another appointment and sat there through the appointment, while I stayed home to look after Pearl and Lady. Naomi finally got home at 1630hrs. Not bad for volunteers even if I do say so myself. Naomi is a deadset legend. But I may be a tad biased. God bless JJ and Naomi.

Hey gang in the run up to ANZAC Day and all the furore of BRS's arrest can I please get you all to check in on your brothers and sisters in arms. For most of us, this is a time to catch up with commrades and for those physically able,to once again march shoulder to shoulder with other sevice men and women. For some it is a time of loss and great sadness. So don't leave your mates alone call them try and include them in your plans. If necessary pop in and say hello. God bless JJ and Naomi.

Hi gang, we are fast appoaching the festive season. For many who are suffering from isolation, chronic illness or recent loss it it can bad time of year. It amplifies their feelings in a negative way. May I please ask you to check on your mates, friends and family. Just a phone call, message or chat over a cuppa. You might jus be the one who makes a real different to people in a bad place mentally. God bless JJ and Naomi.
