MST Lawyers is proud to sponsor the Bentleigh Greens Soccer Club MiniRoos program for the 2026 season.

Community sport plays an important role in building confidence, teamwork, resilience and connection for young people and their families. We are delighted to support a club that helps foster these values both on and off the field.

We are also pleased that Raynia Theodore, Principal at MST Lawyers, continues to provide pro bono governance and legal support to Bentleigh Greens Soccer Club, helping strengthen the foundations that allow community sport to thrive.

We look forward to supporting Bentleigh Greens and its young players throughout the season. Keep an eye out for the MST Lawyers logo, now featured on the back of the MiniRoos playing jerseys.

As 30 June approaches, most people focus on tax planning. However, end of financial year (EOFY) is also a critical time to review your estate planning arrangements.

Changes made for tax purposes, particularly involving superannuation, trusts and business structures, can have unintended consequences for your estate plan if not aligned properly.

A short, targeted review before EOFY can help ensure your wishes are carried out and reduce the risk of disputes, delays or adverse tax outcomes for your beneficiaries.

You should consider seeking legal advice if you have made recent financial or structural changes and have not reviewed your estate planning documents.

MST Lawyers can assist in ensuring your will, nominations and structures align with your current circumstances.

One week to go! On March 17th, MST Lawyers and Zaparas Lawyers will be hosting a complimentary dinner seminar for accountants and financial advisers at the Gardiner Hotel in Malvern.

The session will explore practical issues around compensation, family and estate risk, and how advisers can better identify potential legal issues for their clients.

It will be a relaxed evening with good discussion, networking with peers, and dinner and drinks included.

Attendees may also be able to claim the session as two CPD hours through their respective professional body CPD diaries.

If you or someone in your team would like to attend, there are still a few places available.

2025 was a year where compliance shifted from a 'nice to have' to a 'must have' across many areas of law.

As we close out the year, a few recurring themes stood out for our clients:
- rising compliance expectations
- greater regulatory scrutiny
- the growing importance of early, practical advice

We’ve explored how these changes played out across employment, franchising, family law, estates, property, commercial matters and disputes in our 2025 legal year in review
