Is the spelling of your name on your property Title exactly the same as the name in your MyGov portal and your passport/driver's license?

Why, you ask?
Well, if you sell your property, you'll now need to apply for a Clearance Certificate from the ATO, which will be issued in the name of your MyGov account.
If the title and the ATO certificate don't match, the buyer can refuse to accept it and may need to withhold 15% of your sale proceeds to pay the ATO.

Make sure your ID, MyGov account & property Title are all in your correct legal name before you sign a contract!

The wonderful folks at SRO have uploaded thousands of plans that give a snapshot of Perth as it was around 100 years ago. You can search by address, look for your house and then compare the old plan with today's aerial to see how much your neighbourhood has changed.

Better still, you can find out exactly where people on your street used to keep their fowls, pigeons, and vines, and see where the windmill used to be in your backyard.

COVID-19 UPDATE
We are still operating from our office for now, but limiting client visits to a minimum. Locals can still drop in to sign documents & verify identity. We do have electronic/online options for those that are self isolating. We are pretty busy dealing with the fallout. Some clients have had their finance approval withdrawn, others are trying to bring settlement forward. Banks are under extreme pressure at the moment. NAB, Westpac & ANZ had mortgage/settlement teams offshore. Many of these have been closed & banks are scrambling to bring the work back onshore. CBA, Bankwest and P&N have always kept operations in Australia, which is paying dividends now.
