The June 2026 invitation round confirms Australia's continued focus on:
✅ Skilled Trades
✅ Healthcare Professionals
✅ Teachers
✅ Engineers
✅ Construction & Infrastructure
✅ Critical Workforce Shortages
The lowest invitation scores were seen in the trades sector, while many science, technology and specialist medical occupations required significantly higher points.
Simply having an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List is no longer enough.
Success often depends on:
✔ Points optimisation
✔ Skills assessment strategy
✔ Occupation selection
✔ State nomination opportunities
✔ Long-term permanent residency planning
📅 The next invitation round is expected by 30 September 2026.
