The relationship between Lord Krishna and Arjuna is a timeless example of meaningful mentorship. Krishna did not make Arjuna’s choices for him. He offered wisdom, challenged his thinking, gave him clarity and trusted him to choose his path.

The true responsibility of a mentor is to share knowledge, lead by example and empower the mentee to become capable of walking their own path.

This Janmashtami, may we be fortunate to learn from those who guide us, and mindful of the responsibility to guide those who look to us.

Because the greatest legacy of a mentor is not what they teach, but the people they help become.

Australia's energy transition is often framed as a technology challenge. In practice, it is increasingly a legal and regulatory one.

The projects that reach financial close and get built are not necessarily those with the best technology, they are the ones with the strongest legal foundations. Connection agreements, land access arrangements, offtake and PPA structuring, and risk allocation across developers, financiers, and EPC contractors are where projects most often stall or unravel.

As regulatory settings continue to evolve - including reforms to grid connections, the Capacity Investment Scheme, and AEMO frameworks – contracts drafted under previous rules are increasingly exposed to risks they were never designed to manage.
