Congratulations, Dennis! We are pleased to formally announce that Dennis Shen, Senior Associate has successfully been awarded the status of Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law.

As an Accredited Specialist, Dennis joins the ranks of a select few Victorian immigration lawyers practising at the top tier of the field. There are currently only 53 Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law in Victoria, two of which are currently at Lena Hung and Associates.

The Department of Home Affairs has announced changes to Student and Temporary Graduate Visa arrangements for international students affected by COVID-19. These include:
• Recommencement of offshore student visa grants to enable students to travel to Australia once borders reopen;
• Some students can lodge a further student visa application free of charge if they are unable to complete their studies within their original visa timeframe due to COVID-19;
• Current Student visa holders studying online outside Australia will be able to count this online study towards the Australian Study Requirement;
• Graduates who held a student visa can apply for a post-study work visa outside Australia, if they are unable to return and lodge onshore due to COVID-19;
• Additional time will be given for applicants to complete English language tests, where the tests have been disrupted due to COVID-19.
