Arnold Thomas & Becker have commenced investigations into allegations that a Melbourne teacher has been filming primary school children in the Kingswood Primary School toilets with hidden cameras. The allegations against teacher Tim Blamires, were made in the Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court last week. Mr Blamires, was refused bail in front of dozens of parents from the school. Arnold Thomas & Becker have been contacted by parents of children who attend the school. Kim Price, head of the firm’s abuse practice, said, ‘parents from the school are reeling with shock in relation to these allegations'. At this stage, we have limited information, but we will be seeking to establish how long the camera was in place and how many students have been impacted. Arnold Thomas & Becker have a specialist abuse law team that is currently investigating over 500 claims of historic abuse in Victorian schools.
