Relationship ended during your Partner visa application? 💔

You may still have visa options available in Australia.

In certain situations, applicants may still be eligible for a permanent Partner visa even if the relationship has ended before the usual 2-year waiting period.

This may apply if you applied for or currently hold:
• Temporary Partner visa (Subclass 820)
• Provisional Partner visa (Subclass 309)

You may still be eligible if:
• You experienced domestic or family violence
• You have a child with your former partner
• Your partner has passed away

If your relationship has ended, it is important to:
• Notify the Department of Home Affairs
• Seek professional advice as early as possible

Every situation is different, and your next steps will depend on your individual circumstances.

Not sure what to do next? 📩

Speak with our registered migration agents to understand your options and protect your stay in Australia.

The “instant” 407 visa strategy is no longer possible 🚨

New rules mean you can’t lodge your 407 Training Visa and nomination together anymore — and this is catching a lot of applicants off guard.

⚠️ Now, your nomination must be approved before you lodge your visa.

With processing times taking months, poor timing could mean running out of time on your current visa.

But here’s the key: opportunities still exist if you plan ahead.

✔ Start your 407 nomination early
✔ Consider employer-sponsored options like the 482 Skills in Demand visa
✔ Consider further study to qualify yourself more
✔ Explore partner or secondary visa pathways

This is no longer about speed — it’s about strategy and timing.

If you wait too long, you may lose your chance to stay in Australia.

Can you change employers while on a 407 Training Visa? 🇦🇺

The short answer is yes — but there are important steps involved.

The Employer Sponsored 407 Training visa is linked to a structured workplace training program, which means you cannot simply move to another employer and continue working immediately.

If you want to change sponsors:
✔ Your new employer must become an approved Temporary Activities Sponsor (if they are not already approved)
✔ A new nomination for your training position must be lodged and approved
✔ Your training arrangement must remain genuine and aligned with the purpose of the 407 visa

Only after the new nomination is approved can you continue your training with the new sponsor.

It is important to ensure your sponsorship and nomination approvals are properly in place before transitioning employers, as working outside approved arrangements may impact your visa conditions.

A huge congratulations to our client on their Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) visa grant! 🎉

This case shows that having a strong migration strategy matters.

Our client completed a Master of Social Work. With the right planning, he completed his AASW skills assessment, submitted his EOI, received a Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) invitation with 80 points, and moved forward with his PR pathway.

Every case depends on individual circumstances, occupation requirements, points, documents, and current migration policy.
