The Pacific Engagement stream visa (PEV) ballot selections have been drawn.

Remember, being selected in the ballot does NOT mean you have a visa.

If you have been randomly selected in the ballot, you will get an official Notification of Selection letter from us at the email address you gave in your ballot registration.

You must apply online on or before the 'apply by' date shown in your Notification of Selection letter.

Make sure you:
1️⃣ Complete your visa application
2️⃣ Submit it online
3️⃣ Pay your application fee.

You have 120 days from your ballot selection date to apply for the visa.

📢 Tasmania Steps Up: Bigger Skilled Migration Program for 2026–27! 🇦🇺

Excellent news for skilled migration hopefuls!

Tasmania has received 2,050 state nomination places for the 2026–27 Skilled Migration Program, which is a welcome increase from the previous program year.

✅ Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190): 1,250 places
✅ Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491): 800 places

This is a positive sign for applicants considering Tasmania as their migration pathway. While more allocations do not automatically mean easier invitations, they generally provide greater capacity for the state to nominate eligible candidates.

The program is expected to reopen for new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) in the coming weeks, with updated eligibility criteria and program settings to be announced shortly.

If you’re planning to apply for a 190 or 491 visa through Tasmania, now is a good time to:
✔️ Review your eligibility
✔️ Ensure your skills assessment and English test are current
✔️ Prepare your documents so you’re ready when the program opens.
