Tasmania’s 2026–27 Skilled Migration Program is opening, and the first invitation rounds are not far behind. 🇦🇺
From 17 August 2026, Tasmania will open its State Nomination Program to new Registrations of Interest (ROIs).
For the 2026–27 program year, Tasmania has received 2,050 nomination places, including:
🔹 1,250 places for Subclass 190
🔹 800 places for Subclass 491
Migration Tasmania will begin issuing weekly invitations from Thursday, 20 August 2026, with invitations released progressively throughout the year.
There are also changes to the priority attributes used for candidate selection, so applicants should review the updated nomination requirements carefully before submitting or relying on their current strategy.
Migration Tasmania will also publish weekly updates showing:
• Number of ROIs invited
• Lowest scores invited
• Nomination places still available
• Number of ROIs currently on hand
If Tasmania is part of your migration plan, the key question is
