🇦🇺 Understanding Bridging Visa A (Subclass 010)

If you've lodged a new substantive visa application in Australia, a Bridging Visa A (BVA) may help you remain lawfully in Australia while your application is being processed.

• Allows you to stay lawfully in Australia while awaiting a visa decision.
• Usually becomes active when your current substantive visa ends.
• Work and study rights depend on the conditions attached to your visa.
• Does not provide travel rights outside Australia.
• You may need a Bridging Visa B (Subclass 020) if you plan to travel and return to Australia.

Understanding your visa conditions is essential to maintaining lawful status and avoiding unnecessary complications during the application process.

• Financial Evidence
• Household Evidence
• Social Evidence
• Nature of Commitment

Understanding these evidence categories can help you prepare a stronger application and demonstrate the genuine and continuing nature of your relationship.
