💸 Australian visa fees just went up — again — from 1 July 2026.

➡️ Partner visa: $9,365 → $11,710�
➡️ Skills in Demand (482): $3,210 → $4,015�
➡️ Employer Nomination (186): $4,910 → $6,140�
➡️ Student visa: $2,000 → $2,500�
➡️ Temporary Graduate (485): $4,600 → $5,750 (this one has doubled twice this year)�
➡️ Resident Return visa: $490 → $1,475 (a 201% jump)�
➡️ Bridging Visa B: $190 → $575 (a 202% jump)

BREAKING for international students with a refused student visa sitting in review.

As of 18 May 2026, the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) decides student visa refusal reviews entirely on the papers — no oral hearing, no video appearance, no chance to explain in person.

✅ The upside: a 16-month backlog is about to clear. Decisions will land much faster.
⚠️ The catch: you have ONE shot. The written submission you lodge IS the entire case.

What to do this week:
1. Pull your refusal letter and identify the exact reason.
2. Build a written submission that closes every gap.
3. Make your GTE statement, financial evidence, and course progress airtight.

This is the biggest opportunity for stuck student visa cases in years — but it punishes the unprepared.

A case I’ll never forget.

7 years after her visa was refused, this incredibly brave Thai woman finally had her story heard.

She had lived in Australia for years when she became seriously ill and was diagnosed with HIV. She returned to Thailand on medical advice—but found no support, no access to medication, and threats from a former business associate.

She applied for a protection visa alone, with no legal help.
She was refused.

Years later, she found her way to me. Together, we built the case from the ground up—with detailed submissions, expert medical evidence, and human truth at the centre.

Today, the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) overturned the refusal.
⚖️ They found she is a refugee.

I’ve spent the past few weeks exploring Brazil and connecting with people interested in the incredible opportunities Australia has to offer.

It was fantastic to host an engaging and interactive information session on migration to Australia in São Paulo. I also had the chance to meet some of my clients in person—a refreshing change from video calls—and hear from Flavia and Andre, who are currently going through the migration process, as well as others who shared their successful experiences of starting a new life in Australia.
