We were proud to sponsor the Deakin Law Students' Society's and joining their Family & Criminal Law Panel last night.

James Caraglanis represented Schetzer Papaleo Family Lawyers as a panelist, sharing his insights and experiences in family law with the next generation of legal professionals.

It was also wonderful to have our Accredited Family Law Specialist, Kerry Ktenas in attendance, supporting the event and connecting with Deakin law students.

Thank you to the Deakin Law Students' Society for hosting such a fantastic event. We always value opportunities to support aspiring lawyers, share practical insights into legal practice, and contribute to the future of the profession. We're very pleased to continue sponsoring the DLSS.

We look forward to seeing many of these students thrive in their legal careers.

We are excited to announce the opening of our Hobart office, establishing a permanent presence in Tasmania.

While we've long assisted clients across most of Australia, having a local Hobart office allows us to be even more accessible to individuals and families throughout the State, providing the trusted family law advice and support we're known for.

This is an exciting milestone for our firm, and we look forward to becoming part of the Tasmanian community.

Stay tuned! We'll soon be introducing our experienced team, who are proud Tasmanians with strong local connections and a deep understanding of the community they'll be serving.

Great insights from, Partner, Daniel Myers on the recent Think Foley's CPD Podcast Series - Daze in Court, alongside Rohan Hoult and Amy Yu.

The conversation explored the realities of stress and anxiety in legal practice, with a practical and thoughtful discussion about managing pressure and maintaining wellbeing in a demanding profession.

Daniel brought a particularly valuable perspective to the discussion, drawing on his extensive experience in family law and his deep understanding of the human dynamics that underpin separation, conflict and decision-making. His ability to combine legal expertise with genuine insight into client wellbeing is what makes him such a respected practitioner in this space.

A worthwhile listen.

Great to see our Partner, Daniel Myers, presenting today at Fresh Networking St Kilda.

Daniel shared practical insights on “The 5 family law mistakes people make early in their separation” — a topic that resonates strongly with professionals supporting clients through what is often a highly emotional and uncertain time.

His session focused on how early decisions can shape outcomes, from communication and parenting arrangements to financial conduct and avoiding common misconceptions. As always, Daniel brought a clear, calm and practical approach to an area where good guidance early can make a meaningful difference.
