A fantastic outcome after a long and challenging journey.

This case came to us after the client's onshore Partner Visa application had already been refused. We pursued a review at the ART and carefully prepared the matter for hearing.

After nearly three years of waiting, we attended a face-to-face hearing in Sydney. Following almost two hours of detailed discussions and evidence presentation, the ART set aside the refusal and delivered a positive outcome.

Every case is unique, but this is a reminder that refusal does not always mean the end of the process. With proper preparation, strong evidence, and persistence, a positive outcome may still be possible.

The next invitation round for the Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189) will be held on 4 June 2026.

If you have already submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI), now is the time to:
✅ Review and update your EOI
✅ Ensure all information is accurate
✅ Check your points calculation carefully
✅ Make sure supporting documents are ready

A small mistake or outdated information can affect your chances.

Australia Migration: 2025–26 vs 2026–27 Planning Levels! 📊

While Australia's total permanent migration cap stays locked at 185,000 places, the internal breakdown is seeing massive shifts!

The newly released figures reveal clear "winners and losers" for anyone planning their visa pathway:

🚀 The Winners (Biggest Increases):
Employer-Sponsored: Jumps from 44,000 to 58,040 places (+14,040)!

Skilled Independent: Rises from 16,900 to 21,090 places (+4,190).

State/Territory Nominated: Inches up from 33,000 to 35,500 places (+2,500).

Partner & Child: Slight bump up to 45,000 combined indicative places (+1,500).

📉 The Losers (Biggest Cuts):
Regional Visas: Massive drop from 33,000 down to 14,110 places (-18,890).

Talent and Innovation: Reduced from 5,300 to 3,500 places (-1,800).

💡 The Strategy Shift:
The government is aggressively prioritizing onshore applicants already working in Australia and shifting away from regional pathways toward direct employer sponsorship.

The Victoria Skilled Visa Nomination Program (2025–26) will officially close for new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) at:
🗓 Tuesday, 28 April 2026
⏰ 4:00 PM AEST

📊 This year’s allocation:
• 2,700 places – Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated Visa)
• 700 places – Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional Visa)

Due to very high demand, the program has already received significantly more ROIs than available spots.

👉 If you’ve already submitted your ROI – good news! It will still be assessed for the remaining places.
👉 If you haven’t – this is your final window to act.
