Imagine this.

A loved one had been unwell before they passed away.

After their death, you learn that their Will was changed only weeks earlier.
The changes are significant. Beneficiaries have been added or removed. Someone new has been appointed as executor.

Your first thought is often:

"Is this even possible?"

The answer is yes.

But that doesn't mean all late changes to a Will are valid.

Questions might arise about whether the person had the legal capacity to make those changes.

Whether they understood what they were signing, or whether they were influenced by someone else.

The important thing is not to jump to conclusions but also not to dismiss your concerns if something doesn't feel right.

Before assuming the Will is final, seek legal advice.

Sometimes the most important step is simply understanding how those changes came to be.
