If you are a first time home buyer or home owner, you may be eligible for a stamp duty exemption or concession under the First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme when purchasing a property in NSW.

To be eligible for this scheme, a purchaser must meet specific eligibility criteria including but not limited to criteria in relation to the type of property, living in the property, and residency requirements.

There are also purchase price thresholds that apply to this scheme (currently $800,000 to apply for a full exemption and up to $1 million to apply for a concessional (reduced) rate).

This will give you chance to have a chat about the legal side of the process and gain an understanding of what to expect when purchasing (including things to look out for during your inspections).
