Considering divorce? Here are the key points to be aware of:

• Divorce is the legal process that formally ends a marriage.
• It does not resolve property settlements, parenting arrangements, or financial matters, which must be dealt with separately.
• You must be separated for at least 12 months before you can apply for a divorce.

Our team can guide you through the process with clear, practical advice and support at every stage.

We love celebrating the achievements of our team, and this one is especially exciting.

A huge congratulations to Natalie Legge and Lois Parsons on their recent awards at UniSC Australia.

Our wonderful Paralegal Natalie was recognised with the Leo Cussens Award as the highest achieving student in Professional Conduct.

Lois, who works as Angela’s Legal Assistant, received the Nadine Love Award for achieving the highest GPA in LAW419 Family Law for 2025 - an incredible achievement and a reflection of the passion and dedication she brings to both her studies and her work.

Seeing two of our team members recognised in this way makes us incredibly proud. Their commitment, work ethic and genuine care for the people they work with are evident every day, and we have no doubt they both have very bright futures ahead in the legal profession.

Congratulations Natalie and Lois - such well-deserved recognition.

Some of the CTFL team recently attended the Sunshine Coast Law Association’s 11th Annual Justin Crosby Memorial Gala Dinner, with this year’s circus-themed event bringing the local legal community together for an evening of entertainment and fundraising.

Held at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre at Twin Waters, the annual gala supports the Justin Crosby Memorial Bursary, which assists first-year law students at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

The event was a great opportunity to connect with colleagues across the profession, strengthen community ties and enjoy a fun night out, all while supporting an important cause for future legal professionals.

A fantastic afternoon supporting an important cause.

Angela Tondelstrand and Shelly Brown were delighted to attend the Travis Schultz Winemakers Masterclass on Friday alongside so many businesses committed to supporting SunnyKids and the vital work they do across our community.

To see more than $216,300 raised for children and families in need is an outstanding result and a powerful reflection of the generosity of the Sunshine Coast community.

Congratulations to Travis Schultz OAM, SunnyKids and all event partners on another hugely successful event.

Some family law matters are straightforward, while others are anything but, and it’s often in those more complex moments that the right support makes all the difference. This is feedback we recently received from a client, and it’s a reminder of how meaningful it is to be able to support our clients through what are often some of the most challenging times in their lives. We’re genuinely grateful for the kind words.

Last Friday, we attended the launch of the 2026 Sunshine Coast Business Awards and it was great to be in the room with so many people who contribute to the strength of our local business community.

Warren Hogan, Chief Economic Officer at Judo Bank, delivered a keynote that cut through the noise with a clear, practical view of the current economic landscape.

This was followed by a panel of local business leaders who shared honest insights into what it really takes to start a business and build something successful, from the early challenges through to sustainable growth.

As a returning sponsor, we’re proud to support an initiative that recognises the hard work, innovation and resilience of businesses across the Sunshine Coast.

We’re looking forward to being involved again this year and celebrating the achievements of local businesses doing great things.

Today marks the start of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.

Earlier this week, Olivia Le spoke with WIN News as part of their coverage, supporting a lead story focused on SunnyKids and the critical work they do for vulnerable children and families across our region.

As a family lawyer, Olivia works closely with people navigating domestic and family violence matters, bringing a practical legal perspective to a complex and often confronting issue.

This month is an important reminder that domestic and family violence, including coercive control, remains a real and ongoing issue in our community. Raising awareness is one part of it - ensuring people know where to turn for support is just as important.

We are proud to support the work being done across the Sunshine Coast to drive awareness, connection and change.
