In 1989, Ian was a founding and executive member of the Association of Property Conveyancers (as AIC NSW was then known). Although a surveyor at the time Ian strongly advocated for the creation of the Conveyancer Licensing Act 1995, which set the foundation for licensed conveyancing as a profession.
Ian's professional commitment was to serve as an Executive Member of AICNSW, participate in numerous consulting committee and has generously shared his time and expertise. His contribution has been recognised by the conveyancing community with Life Membership of AICNSW and a Fellowship of AIC National.
