At least 6.5 million Australians will have no say in who inherits their superannuation, according to new research from Super Consumers Australia. It is urging people to make sure they have a legally "binding" nomination to ensure their super goes to the people they want it to.

Just a quick heads up for those of you that are thinking of selling a property in Queensland soon - there's been some recent changes to conveyancing laws that you need to be aware of.

Since 1 August 2025, there are now rules are in place that require sellers to provide to a buyer a "Seller Disclosure" and relevant 'prescribed certificates'.

This means there will be more information and more documents that you will need to disclose to a buyer before they enter into a contract, otherwise a buyer will have a termination right up to settlement.

I had the chance to visit the High Court and Parliament House in Canberra last week.

One moment that really stayed with me from the Parliament tour was the reminder about our national emblem: the kangaroo and the emu - chosen because they can’t walk backwards.

It's a good reminder of the Australian spirit — always move forward, no matter the challenges.
