🌟Congratulations to our Golden Gavel Champions 🌟

Ogilvie Jennings had three participants in the 2025 Golden Gavel last Friday night!

Gabrielle Ritchie took home first place with her standout performance discussing "ChatGTP wrote my submission and other hallucinated authorities". Gabrielle will now represent Tasmanian and the National Golden Gavel in Brisbane in November.

Peter Lewer followed closely behind in second place with his hilarious performance discussing "taking off the moon boot: insights into workers compensation".

Nate de Weys finished in equal third with his engaging delivery on "observations of a grad lawyer".

What a fantastic achievement for all three- congratulations!!!

Today we proudly celebrated the admission of Gabrielle Ritchie to the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

It was an all woman affair with Gabrielle's admission being moved by our Family Law Principal Solicitor Ann Schrale. Her Honour remarked on how pleased she was to welcome another woman to the profession- a moment of inspiration and pride for all present.

Gabrielle has been a valued member of Ogilvie Jennings as a Graduate Clerk while completing her studies, and we couldn't be prouder of all she has achieved so far.

We can't wait to see what Gabrielle can accomplish in this next stage of her career- congratulations, Gabrielle!

We are proud to celebrate the admission of Nate de Weys and William Hewer to the Supreme Court of Tasmania last Friday.

Nate's admission was moved by our Commercial and Litigation Lawyer, Adam Sheehan and William's by our Litigation Principal Solicitor, Christian Street.

Both Nate and William have been valuable members of the Ogilvie Jennings team as clerks during their law studies, and we're excited to now welcome them as newly admitted solicitors.
