We had a fabulous evening at the Opening of the Legal Year dinner last week.
The highlight of the night was our very own Head of Legal, Cath Scott, winning the Law Society of Tasmania President’s Award 2025 - and her exceptional acceptance speech.
Congratulations Cath - there is nobody who deserves this prestigious award, and the recognition that comes with it, more than you!

What did you do over the long weekend?

Some of the ConMoto team chilled out with friends listening to the hottest 100 countdown. A few took full advantage of the weather and headed to the beach, some rode their bicycle a crazy distance just for fun, and others visited various Tassie cultural and culinary hot spots.

All of this pales into comparison with MD Gerry Connolly's decision (made just a few weeks ago), to join a group (including his uber fit wife Meg) to RUN the Overland Track!

Gerry & co ran a whopping 65.99 km trail of rugged terrain, steep climbs, hairy descents, and breathtaking wilderness (though apparently, there wasn’t much time to admire the scenery)!

Gerry completed this feat of endurance in an exceptional 10 hours, 46 minutes, and 14 seconds - WOW - and he managed to stay upright and avoid any spills. We're all super impressed by the extreme effort this must have taken Gerry, Meg and the entire group. Congratulations!! 🥳

The ConMoto Christmas party for 2024 included a hike/swim to Wineglass Bay and back, a fantastic spread of canapes, salads, BBQ, and desserts - our summery drink of choice was the ever-popular Aperol Spritz. We all had a fantastic time, we were so lucky with the weather, and the music was on point thanks to our staff of music enthusiasts!

We combined all of our top 5 Spotify songs of the year, and the most eclectic Christmas party playlist ever was born. Pop bangers, metal, rock anthems, Indie-folk, pop rock, a splash of country, hardcore punk, alternative indie, synth-pop and more!

It was a weirdly cohesive mix and added another fun dimension to the festivities! The real fun? Guessing which song belonged to which staff member - when in doubt the answer is always Jonathan!!There was only one double-up by Maddi and Jonathan with Stick Season by Noah Kahan!

It was such a fun night—here’s to great coworkers, delicious food, perfectly crafted drinks, huntsman spiders, and the unpredictable nature of a shared playlist that kept the vibe alive!
