Figures from the Australian Securities & Investment Commission [ASIC] show there were 1,245 insolvency appointments in May 2024, a 44% increase on the 866 appointments made in the same month a year ago, and 122% more than in May 2022. In March 2024, there were 1,137 insolvency appointments and in February 2024 there were 1,123.
