Great to see our own Ruby Heath representing the firm on the panel at the recent Alumni Partnership Panel alongside esteemed colleagues Mark Mitchell from Zaparis Lawyers and Melissa Phillips from Gadens discussing the realities of partnership, leadership, and career progression in the legal profession.

It was a fantastic evening connecting with alumni, students and practitioners, and sharing candid insights into the journey to partnership.

Thank you to the Law School and the Alumni Chapter Committee for the invitation and for hosting such a valuable event.

St.John Heath was invited to judge the La Trobe University Law Students’ Association second annual Social Justice Moot Competition.

The moot focused on a fictitious application to reconsider a final parenting order, providing students with the opportunity to tackle complex family law issues and develop their advocacy skills in a practical setting.

“Justice Heath” (a title he may be getting slightly too comfortable with) was honoured to contribute to the competition and engage with the next generation of legal professionals .

A big thank you to the La Trobe University Law Students’ Association for the invitation and for continuing to create valuable opportunities for students to connect with the profession and sharpen their courtroom advocacy skills.

In this episode, we turn the latest footy talking point into a practical reminder for anyone navigating a family law matter - why what you share (or don’t share) on social media matters, and how it can impact your case.

The Carlton Blues may have fallen short of their duty of care and somehow missed a lot of obvious signs that Elijah Hollands might have been struggling. This prompted us to think about the toll that separation can potentially take on one’s mental health.

In this week’s episode we talk about the psychology behind a separation, with assistance from special guest, Sabrina Rodda.

Sabrina is a valued member of our administration team and completing her Honours in Psychology Degree. We were luck to have her on this week, along with our regulars Joe, St.John and Charlie.

Tune in for an insightful discussion.
