I am very proud to announce that my brother, Roger Dive, is the NSW nominee for Senior Australian of the Year 2022. Roger headed the specialist Drug Court of New South Wales which works to rehabilitate drug-addicted adults who have pleaded guilty.

Roger is still in touch with some of the program’s participants, who went on to live ordinary lives without reoffending.

Roger and his wife were also foster parents to 60 children.
More details of his nomination here

A former Magistrate, head of the New South Wales Children’s Court, and District Court Judge, Roger Dive showed compassion, understanding and dedication to the people who appeared before him in court.

To all of our valued clients. Following the NSW Government restrictions from 5:00pm on Saturday, that residents in the Northern Beaches should stay home and not travel out of the area unless absolutely necessary, we will not be seeing clients in the office but will make arrangements with any clients who need to speak with us by phone or by Zoom meeting. Please note that our offices will close on Wednesday 23 December 2020 and reopen on Wednesday 13 January 2021.

We want to share with our clients the steps our firm is taking to protect our staff and clients from the COVID-19 virus.

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our team and our clients. The COVID-19 situation in Australia changes daily and we will keep responding to any recommendations from Chief Medical Officers and government authorities.

The impact of COVID-19 is going to disrupt our operations. We apologise for this and we are working hard to make sure we are there to help you when you need us.

Where possible our team will work from home but at the moment our office remains open.

We are Taking Steps To Keep Everyone Safe

We are offering Telephone Meetings as well as Face-to-Face meetings

• Clients who wish to speak with us or “meet” with us, are welcome to arrange to do so over the telephone rather than travel to the office for a face-to-face meeting. We ask that all telephone meetings are arranged in advance and with a specific time allocated for you so that we can make sure that our clients and our team have all the necessary documents or information with them so that the meeting can proceed efficiently with safety for all involved.

We will Maintain Good Hygeine

• If clients do want to come to our office to meet we have a designated conference room available. Before you enter the conference room we will disinfect the conference room table in front of you so that you can feel confident about touching the surfaces.
• We will wash our hands before meeting you and will provide you with hand sanitiser for you to use before the meeting.

We will comply with Social Distancing Recommendations

• We will maintain social distancing in accordance with the latest government guidelines. If clients need to sign documents we will guide them through the process from a safe distance, even standing in an adjoining room if that makes clients feel more comfortable.
• As much as possible we will try to make sure that the front door is open when you arrive. If you arrive at our office and the door is closed, you are welcome to call the reception and someone will let you in.

We expect that we will need to evolve as the situation changes and will update these measures as necessary.

With best wishes to our valued clients.
James Dive, Mary Bova and Colin McCann
