Hear from some of the medical students that placement poverty could price out of medicine. 👉

The Commonwealth Prac Payment is a means-tested scheme designed to support students who can’t afford to get through full-time placement and we’re so glad it exists. But right now, medical students alongside other allied health students are excluded, despite having more mandatory placement hours than almost any other degree.

For students from low-income or regional backgrounds, this isn’t just inconvenient but it defines the difference between staying in medicine and dropping out. That affects them, and it affects all of us.

Sign the petition and help us push the Federal Government to extend the CPP to medical students before the 2027 review. Every signature matters. 🩺
