The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) comes into being on Wednesday, 1 September 2021. The FCFCOA will be governed by the new uniform Rules, the Central Practice Direction and more specific Practice Directions that will be released in due course.

CRFLPA's next virtual event for members will be ‘New FCFCOA Rules and Practice Direction’, hosted by Dr Sage Leslie and James Haddock.

The virtual event for members will be held at 5.30pm this Thursday, 2 September 2021.

The event is being hosted on Microsoft Teams for CRFLPA members and the Microsoft Teams link will be emailed. Please keep an eye out in your inboxes!

The link to join the event will be sent in your membership sign-up confirmation email, and a reminder will also be sent to all current members at 10.00am on Thursday 2 September 2021.

There is no “grace period” – the Rules and Central Practice Direction apply from this Wednesday. There are substantial changes affecting all aspects of practice (not just during court events), and non-compliance can have serious consequences for clients. James and Sage will take you on a guided tour of some of the highlights and key new aspects that you need to be aware of immediately.

It would assist if you have a copy of the Rules and PD available to you to follow along with during the session.
