NSW Government's Skilled visa Website has been updated with the folllwing information regarding Skilled Visas:

Skilled visas
Invitation rounds occur ongoing throughout the financial year. In line with Home Affairs' direction, NSW will only invite applicants in selected health, ICT and engineering occupations, and who currently reside in NSW.

Please visit our subclass 190 visa website for information about eligibility for NSW nomination and how invitation rounds work.

Information about how to apply for NSW nomination for the subclass 491 visa will be made available on our subclass 491 visa website as soon as possible. We cannot provide a timeframe at this time.

The New South Wales Government is able to provide nomination for business, investor and skilled migrants who want to live, work and invest in the state.

On December 1, 2020 Pearson (PTE) published a new Concordance Report from the PTE Academic standards and Measurement Team. Score concordance is a standard activity that test providers use to re-evaluate their concordance with another major test. In this case, PTE compared its test to the IELTS Academic only❗ (IELTS General has not been considered).
Review:

▪️ IELTS 5 --> 36 PTE Academic (Original) --> 29 PTE Academic (Updated)
▪️ IELTS 6 --> 50 PTE Academic (Original) --> 46 PTE Academic (Updated)
▪️ IELTS 7 --> 65 PTE Academic (Original) --> 66 PTE Academic (Updated)
▪️ IELTS 8 --> 79 PTE Academic (Original) --> 84 PTE Academic (Updated)
⚠️⚠️ While PTE has updated its score concordance, this is a guidance only and there have been NO changes to the actual PTE scoring for Australia migration.
Whether these new guidelines will trigger a change in migration legislation…. only the time will tell us.
