RBA hikes again, but I’m still positive about property. 🏡

Yes, the RBA has increased the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.60%, and there’s no doubt higher borrowing costs will influence some buyers and sellers.

But here’s the thing I remind myself: property isn’t just about interest rates. It’s about people.

I believe in the 4 D’s of property:
Death. Divorce. Downsizing. Debt.

They’re not always easy reasons to move, but they are life events that will always exist, and they mean people will always need to buy and sell property.

There will always be first-home buyers looking for their first home.
Families needing more space.
People wanting to downsize.
Investors adjusting their portfolios.
And people whose circumstances simply mean it’s time for a change.

So while the market may be more considered than it was a year or two ago, I don’t see that as a reason to be negative about property.

It simply means buyers need to be smart, sellers need to understand where their property sits in the current market, and good preparation and good advice matter more than ever.

Spring is still a great time to be in real estate. 🌱

There are buyers out there. There are sellers who need to move. And there are always opportunities when you understand the market and, more importantly, understand the people in it.

I’m backing property. Always.
