Negotiating a commercial lease agreement can be quite daunting. There are often a lot of obligations placed upon the tenant such as maintenance costs & redecoration costs as well as payment of outgoings like rates and water. If a retail business is to operate from the premises there are also disclosure obligations that must be followed. If you’re intending on leasing premises either as the landlord or the tenant, or your lease is coming up for renewal soon, it’s important to get the right legal advice from an experienced property lawyer who can explain it all in plain English, and help you negotiate the fine print. Give me a call now on Ph 07 5495 1499.

The saying goes that everything in business is negotiable and this is particularly true when it comes to a commercial property lease.

People often ask “Why use a lawyer to make a will when I can do it myself with a home will kit much cheaper?” 👇👇

A Will is one of the most important documents you will ever make, so it’s best to get the right advice from a qualified solicitor so that your Will can be properly drafted to make sure your assets go to the people you want receive them. In the below case, the deceased purportedly made a DIY home Will changing his wishes radically from his previous wills. The evidence was weighed and the court found that the DIY will could not be proved to be a valid last will, and so the deceased’s previous will was upheld as the valid Last Will instead. This meant different people benefitted from his estate than those in the disproven later will. Read more below.
