🎳 Striking the Perfect Balance Between Work & Fun!

Recently, our team stepped away from our desks and hit the lanes and the pool tables at Strike Bowling for a much-needed team session.

From friendly competition to plenty of laughs (and a few unexpected talents 👀), the afternoon was all about strengthening relationships, boosting morale, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

💡 Team-building isn’t just about activities — it’s about:
Building trust
Encouraging collaboration
Creating shared experiences

Moments like these make a real difference in how we work together every day.

A big thank you to everyone who made it such a fun and memorable outing. Looking forward to more moments like this!

Rain or shine, the credit community always knows how to deliver! 🌧️🏆

The team from Agility Law Group had a fantastic afternoon last Friday, May 15th, at the AICM QLD Division social event in Brisbane.

Despite the classic Brisbane rain trying to dampen the green, nothing could stop the competitive spirit or the great conversations. We kicked off our shoes for a brilliant afternoon of barefoot bowls, networking, and catching up with our industry peers.

The highlight of the day? A massive congratulations to two of our own staff members who brought their A-game and secured spots on the winning team! 🥇 Bowls might have been barefoot, but the strategy was laser-focused.

Huge thanks to the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM) for organizing another wonderful event that brought everyone together, proving that a little weather is no match for a great networking opportunity.
Here’s to a great weekend wrap-up and an even better week ahead!

Today, Australia pauses for a National Day of Mourning to honour the lives lost and the families forever changed by the tragedy at Bondi Beach. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and all those affected, reflecting on the theme: “Light will win — a gathering of unity and remembrance.”
In times of darkness, our greatest strength is each other. Today, we are encouraged to participate in a "Mitzvah for Bondi"—an act of kindness or moral responsibility. Whether it is a small gesture of support for a neighbor or a larger community contribution, these acts of goodwill ensure that light and compassion remain our shared foundation.

How you can join us in remembrance today:
• A Moment of Silence: Join the nation at 7:01 pm AEDT for one minute of reflection.
• A Mitzvah for Bondi: Perform an act of kindness in honour of those we lost.
• A Symbol of Hope: Light a candle on your doorstep or in your window this evening to join the "gathering of light."

As the 15 Pillars of Light shine across our night sky, we reaffirm our commitment to a community built on peace, courage, and unity.

What an truly outstanding and meaningful afternoon at the Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Queensland (WIRQ) Annual Lunch at the Sofitel! 🥂 It was a privilege to connect with colleagues while supporting such a vital cause.

The event raised significant funds for the RBWH Foundation, a charity whose mission is to advance patient care and fund life-saving research across the Herston Health Precinct (including the RBWH, STARS, and Redcliffe Hospital). They champion innovation in critical areas like Trauma (through the Jamieson Trauma Institute), Burns, Cancer, Neurology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine—driving medical projects that transform patient outcomes, not just for Queensland, but globally.

The cornerstone of the lunch was hearing from 4x Paralympic Gold Medallist, Curtis McGrath OAM. His journey is a powerful testament to the Foundation’s life-saving work, as he received his initial, critical treatment at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Curtis shared the raw, inspiring story of his time as an Australian Army Combat Engineer. In 2012, three months into his deployment in Afghanistan, he stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), resulting in the loss of both his legs. In a moment of life-or-death crisis, he drew upon his combat first aid training to remain lucid, directing his fellow soldiers on how to apply tourniquets and administer aid—essentially saving his own life.

His story is the ultimate example of grit, determination, and turning tragedy into triumph. It underscores why the work of the RBWH Foundation is so crucial.

A huge thank you to WIRQ for hosting an inspiring event that truly connected purpose with profession. I’m already looking forward to the 2026 lunch!

The Personal Property and Securities Act (Cth) is one of the most critical legal tools for Credit Managers in a challenging economy. 🛡️

On Thursday, 16 October 2025, we had the pleasure of presenting on this topic at the Australian Institute of Credit Management - AICM Conference on the Gold Coast, diving into why an unperfected security interest is a ticking time bomb in an insolvency scenario.

The essential steps to get "super-priority" with a PMSI.

Crucial operational protocols to avoid vesting and fatal PPSR registration errors.

We believe that proactive risk management is the only path forward. Don't leave your assets exposed!

If you'd like a copy of the key takeaways and a deeper dive into the actions credit managers can take to protect their interests, please reach out or send us a DM.

Blown away by the session with Anna-liza Mopio-Jane OLY at the AICMConference2025! 🤯

It’s not every day you get insights on peak performance and resilience from a former Olympian, Commonwealth Games athlete, and seasoned sports administrator. Her experience is a masterclass in pushing limits without sacrificing mental well-being.

Her work as a counsellor and advocate translates perfectly to the pressures we face in the credit profession. Thanks for sharing such a vital message!

Would love to hear what other attendees thought! 👇
