Our associated firm Madina Lawyers’ most recent successful Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) decision relates to a visa cancellation matter. Our client’s Subclass 482 visa was cancelled on the basis of domestic violence court orders. We applied to the ART for review of the cancellation decision. After considering our submissions, the Tribunal Member decided to set aside the cancellation decision. This decision will have a long-lasting impact on our client’s future in Australia. We are pleased to have assisted our client in achieving this positive outcome, and we congratulate our client on the successful result.

It is pleasure to share news about exceptional matters. Client approached us with a refused application and holding a bridging visa. After our visa pathway assessment, we successfully assisted the client with obtaining a temporary visa leading to a permanent visa which was recently granted. Another significant refugee case win at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) secured by our litigation and migration lawyer Hiwa Zandi. The case spanned over a period of seven years involving several ART (including its predecessor AAT) hearings and the filing of several submissions. The case had become more convoluted by the fact that the client was going through health issues (being over the age of 82 years) and that he had come from a non-traditional refugee producing country. We are glad that our continued and conclusive advocacy has brought joy to another family that deserved protection.
