A heartwarming testimonial from our client's mother. An INTENSIVE CORRECTIONS ORDER (ICO) is a gaol sentence served in the community which can be made if the term of imprisonment is less than 2 years in the Local and or District Court. If an ICO is made for multiple offences, or two or more ICOs are made, the term of the aggregate or effective sentence of imprisonment must not exceed 3 years. YST LEGAL regularly asks Courts to consider imposing ICOs as an alternate sentence to full time custody for serious offences where the s5 threshold is crossed, depending on the nature of charge(s) and our client's criminal record amongst other mitigating and aggravating features of each case.
