Last week, Michael Mennen was officially admitted to practice at the Supreme Court of Melbourne. BJT Legal Director, Andrew Turner, had the honour of moving his admission.

Michael first joined BJT Legal in 2024 and earlier this year, solidified his role within our Family Law team. His growing passion for this area of law, combined with his empathetic and client-focused approach, makes him a valuable asset to our firm and the families we support.

Last week, our Independent Children's Lawyer, Kellie Gregg presented at the Ballarat Family Law Pathways Network Event, supported by Family Law team members Bec Van Oirschot and Michael Mennen.

The event focused on how professionals working in the area of parental separation and family law can ensure children and young people’s voices are genuinely heard and included. Topics included understanding children’s experiences of separation and practical strategies to ensure they are seen, heard, and actively involved in decision-making.

Kellie was joined by a panel of respected presenters, including representatives from CatholicCare Victoria and Cafs Family Relationships, contributing to a rich and meaningful discussion on strengthening outcomes for children and families.
