CAAFLU TAKE ON THE OUTBACK – PART 1 🌵🚘

All CAAFLU staff complete 4WD training with CADS, building important skills and knowledge to stay safe while travelling across outback.

There were plenty of laughs along the way, but most importantly, our team gained practical skills to help keep themselves, their colleagues and our communities safe on the road.

Safety first, always!

✨ LEARNING, GROWING & STRENGTHENING OUR PRACTICE ⚖️📚

Earlier this month, CAAFLU lawyers Lydia and Nina travelled to Darwin to take part in the NT Bar Association Advocacy Course!

They spent the weekend learning from and presenting to experienced barristers and judges, strengthening their advocacy skills and continuing to build on the knowledge they bring to their work at CAAFLU. 👏🏽

Continuing to learn, educate ourselves and improve our practices is so important in ensuring we provide strong, informed and meaningful support to our clients and communities. ☀️🌴

Vicki and Amelia are hitting the road and heading out to Mutijulu and Finke ❤️🛣️ to provide important legal education and support for our communities.

WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK | TIP 5: CARE FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH 💜

Looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.

Make space to express how you’re feeling. Talk with someone you trust, connect with a loved one or counsellor, write your thoughts in a journal, or simply give yourself time to process your emotions.

WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK | TIP 4: PRIORITISE REST 💜

Rest is just as important as staying active.

Whether it’s getting enough sleep, slowing down after a busy day, taking a break or simply giving yourself permission to do nothing — your body and mind need time to recharge.

R U OK DAY | 10 SEPTEMBER 💛

R U OK Day might be today, but checking in with the people around us is important every day.

It can be as simple as a call, a text, sending a funny TikTok, going for a walk, grabbing a coffee or simply asking, “R U OK?” A small check-in can mean more than you realise.
