In South Australia, we have had a complete overhaul of the Succession Act 2023. This came into effect on the 1st January 2025 and although it simplifies succession law, it has impacted wills, probate, administration, intestacy, and family provision claims. The new laws also expand the criteria under which step-children can make inheritance claims.

Therefore, it is a good time to review your Will. Please contact me on 0418 858 399 to make an appointment, as your current Will may need updating to correspond with the new rules and laws.
