Two good blokes here — Jono and Joe.
They’ve seen how s**t law can be, and they’re actively working to change it. They’re two of the five men on The Kind Lawyers leadership team, alongside Pepe (our Chair), and advisory board members Lara and Zeb.
We’ve also got some brilliant male speakers lined up for Conversation Day — announcements coming soon.
But here’s the thing:
Despite this leadership and speaker diversity, the majority of ticket sales so far have come from women.
Where are the men?
This isn’t about shaming. It’s about naming what we’re seeing — and gently questioning whether the absence of men in spaces focused on culture change… might actually be part of the problem.
If men aren’t showing up for conversations about transforming a profession that still largely serves a patriarchal and adversarial system, are they really committed to shifting it?
Law doesn’t need more spectators. It needs participants.
And culture doesn’t shift unless everyone’s in the room.
Tickets are on sale now. Super early birds are gone. And now is your chance to get a limited earlybird ticket before EOFY — so if you’re planning to come, grab your ticket before prices go up. And you have to wait till next year to claim it on your tax. Group discounts apply, so even more of an incentive to get your ticket now and maximise your tax deductions.
Kindness isn’t soft.
It’s structure, courage, and accountability.
And that applies to all of us.
