Dr. Tawakol has a number of research publications, the most recent includes; Electronic Voting in the joint stock companies through blockchain, regulations of Forex trading in global markets, the trading of the crypto-commercial papers on blockchain, Bitcoin and Law which explains the regulation of virtual currencies along with the other financial innovation instruments, the Protection from utilizing Trade names and Trademarks electronically, bitcoin legal problems: regulatory analysis, the legal regulations of mutual Funds (ETFS), electronic payment methods in accordance to Omani law, the role of auditors to protect shareholders in joint stock companies, and short selling legal regulations: review and analysis. In addition to other publications in English language of law students and lawyers.
He participated in a number of conferences such as the 1st International Scientific Conference of the College of Law titled “ The UAE Legal Systems among Contemporary Legal Systems” conducted by the American University in the Emirates where he presented “The trading of the Crypto-commercial papers on Block Chain In UAE”. Furthermore, the 20th International Conference on Private International Law in Barcelona Spain where he presented the working paper “Bitcoin Legal Problems: Regulatory Analysis”, the Middle East 3rd conference for International Trade and Economics in Dubai where he presented “The Regulation and Supervision of Microfinance: Main issues and progress in Egypt”. In addition, he participated in Blockchain and Law workshop held in the British University in Egypt, besides the Sharing Economy
workshop.
