Honoured to represent the UAE at the International Academy of Family Lawyers Asia Pacific Symposium in Kuala Lumpur, where I addressed the growing challenges surrounding cross-border custody enforcement and international child relocation cases.

It was a privilege to join an excellent panel discussion on “What is HOT in Parenting Matters in Cross-Border Disputes?” alongside Liuda Yablokova, Sally Nicholes, and moderator Evan Marks, together with Rajashree Suppiah of the Malaysian Bar. Thank you to my fellow panellists and organisers for the insightful discussions and exchange of perspectives on international family law matters.

As Co-Chair of the Relocation of Children Committee, I had the opportunity to discuss how different jurisdictions approach the recognition and enforcement of foreign custody orders, particularly in cases involving expatriate families and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
