Latest Visa Run news:

The question on everyone's mind; Is Oman border open yet?

Well yes and no. Oman is opening its borders again as of 29 December 2020, however
there are many restrictions meaning that Visa Runs are simply not possible. Such as:

Minimum quarantine period of 1 week
Minimum stay requirement
Oman health insurance
Covid test needed 72 hours before arrival
Covid test needed on arrival
Entry by airport only
Flights being minimum cost of 900AED
When road borders open, vehicles limited to 2-4 passengers only.

Our view is that the earliest visa runs will resume will be April 2021.

Travel and business disruptions are likely through at least late-November after authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reportedly stopped issuing new visas to citizens of 13 countries on Nov. 25. The countries impacted by the decision include Afghanistan, Algeria, Kenya, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Turkey, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Syria, and Pakistan.

The UAE's Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has yet to comment or issue an official clarification on the status of visas for citizens of the 13 impacted countries.

Is Oman border open??? Many people asking us this question. Despite what your friend told you or something you may have read somewhere on the internet where you cant remember, the borders are unfortunately still closed :p

There are no visa runs happening at the moment. If you need to stay longer in the UAE we can make you a 90 day tourist visa for 2000AED. Please allow a few days processing time and dont leave things until the last minute.
