Express Entry working to make top international talent permanent residents
Changes to Canada’s economic immigration system are proving successful in selecting people needed in Canada’s economy and giving them permanent resident status quickly. Just three months after the launch of Express Entry, Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander welcomed three of the first Express Entry candidates to become Canadian permanent residents

Express Entry quick facts, from January 1 to April 1 (All dates are for 2015)

Launch date: January 1
First draw from the pool: January 31
Most recent draw from the pool: March 27
Minimum CRS points required for selection in any one draw: 453 (March 27 draw)
Largest number of invitations to apply issued in any one draw: 1,637 (March 27 draw)
Fewest invitations to apply issued in any one draw: 779 (January 1 and February 7 draws)
Largest decrease in CRS points required between two consecutive draws: 254 (from February 27 to March 20 draws)
Smallest decrease in CRS points required between two consecutive draws: 10 (from February 7 to February 20 draws)

This Sixth Express Entry Draw, followed just One week after the Fifth Draw, which took place on 20 March 2015 & selected 1620 Applications with Lowest CRS Score of 481.

In this draw, which was conducted on 27 March 2015, total 1637 Invitations will be issued with lowest CRS score of 453.
The trend remains positive for applicants not having Job Offer/Nomination from Canada employer or Province.

There is decrease of 28 points in Lowest CRS score of fifth & sixth draw...

According to Canada Government Immigration plan 2015, approximately 185,000 new immigrants will be coming to country this year. The large number of this will be selected through express Entry only. So Government needs to conduct Draws frequently. As per source, CIC is planning to conduct approximately 25 draws in a year (which means 2 draws in each month).

Till date, Government successfully conducted Six draws and issued almost 6851 invitations. This include applicants from all eligible programs like Federal Skilled Worker program, Federal Skilled Trade program, Canadian Experience Class, PNP

All the prospective applicants, those are planning to apply for this program should start their process soon.

For the first time since its introduction on January 1st, 2015, Canada’s Express Entry application management system has resulted in invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence being issued to candidates with less than 600 CRS points.

This is particularly exciting news because, prior to this draw, every candidate selected to apply for permanent residence would have needed to obtain over 600 CRS points by having a Canadian job offer or Provincial nomination.

This most recent draw, which resulted in invitations to apply being issued to candidates with a CRS score of 481 or more, shows that a candidate with no Canadian work experience, job offer or Provincial nomination in Canada can obtain an invitation to apply under the Express Entry system.

Recent Express Entry draws have revealed that the number of invitations being issued is increasing with each draw, while the CRS score required to be selected is decreasing. Details regarding previous draws and a corresponding graph can be viewed at:
