(A poem on Climate Change)

Dear humans
When temperatures become heat waves
And you sweat and fear that the earth is burning
When during the rainy seasons you wait in vain
Your fields ready for planting

Dear humans
Do you ever give yourselves time to wonder
Do you ever pause and ponder
Why nature suddenly seems to have gone abnormal
And we know longer know what is the normal?

Our beautiful earth, once unpolluted and born from a smile
God’s eternal decision
Our legacy from the divine
But alas, now under threat from lack of vision

Who will save the green forests?
Who will tomorrow plant a tree?
For saving those is also saving ourselves, yourselves
And a perpetuation of the spiritual need
That crave to live and breathe fresh air
And sing songs to clean skies at every break of dawn
