“From Zambia🇿🇲 To Florida(USA) My Heart Is Heavy😭💔 16,000 People Living With HIV Could Lose Their Medication.”
Recently, The Florida Department Of Health Has Announced Sudden Changes To The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). These Changes Could Leave 16,000 People Living With HIV Without Access To Their Treatment By March 1.
This Is More Than Numbers, It Is About Lives. Every Person Deserves The Chance To Stay Healthy, To Remain Virally Suppressed, And To Live With Dignity. Cutting Off Treatment Is Not Just A Policy Change, It Is A Direct Threat To Health And Hope Globally.
As A Zambian HIV/AIDS Advocate, I May Have Only Recently Begun Speaking Boldly On These Issues, But I Know That The Struggle For Access To Treatment Is Universal. When One Community Is Denied Care, It Weakens The Global Fight Against HIV.
🙏🏾 I Am Deeply Concerned And I Send My Prayers Of Strength And Courage To All Affected. May Leaders Listen, May Communities Unite, And May We Never Allow Progress To Be Reversed.
💬 Together, Let Us Stand For Health And Justice.
