I don't want to bore you with buzzwords and irrelevant fluff but I would love to tell you why we are great at what we do and why you should do business with us. Dupper Properties is "what it says on the label". We are a family business, Dupper is our surname and we sell properties. We are a mother and son team that simply love what we do and do it well. If this was not the case we would not have b

een around for well over a decade! Our path into this ever changing and challenging industry started way back in September 2002 when Loraine joined a well known franchise agency as a qualified estate agent, having completed her board exam first and not following the normal intern agent path. Her drive and thirst for knowledge led to her training intern agents as well as taking on more administrative office duties within a year after joining the agency. All while selling property like hotcakes! I entered the real estate industry at the tender age of 21 after honing my sales skills selling bicycles and skateboards while managing a sports shop. I had a lot of fun there while studying IT part time but I didn't see myself doing either in the long term. My father encouraged me to follow my mother into the real estate industry as an intern agent and we soon realised that we make a mean team! My mother had instilled a spirit of entrepreneurship from early on in my life. I sold pies and biscuits that she would bake overnight as an extra income and later on I even sold snacks out my backpack at school that I bought from a local sweets wholesaler. You know business is good when even the teachers are your clients! I worked for everything I got and this work ethic has stood me in good stead. Whether it was saving up for cycling equipment, training for cycling races or studying for school exams. I learnt that hard work pays dividends and success is earned. Our entrepreneurial spirit and our rapid accent in the local property market led to the establishment of Dupper Properties in September 2005. Our vision is encapsulated in our motto - "small town attention - big city expertise". Quite apt considering the place we call home and market we operate in, Nelspruit, a bustling provincial capital with a rural country vibe. Our office has always been based in the beautiful suburb of Steiltes, initially at the Total filling station before moving to the Steiltes Shopping Centre. We have remained a small business due to our desire to be involved in all aspects without the limitations that full time employee management would bring. We are solely focused on the residential market, opting to specialize in the sales and letting of existing as well as newly built properties. We love meeting people from all walks of life and assisting them with purchasing and / or selling what is often their biggest investment. We have teamed up with quite a few developers with our main collaborators being Nicky and Colleen van der Merwe of NICLOC Investments. We seized the opportunity to assist in the marketing of an apartment development, Innison, in 2007 and have remained their marketing and sales partner for all their developments ever since. We are particularly proud of Dei Gratia apartments, Tawny Eagle Crescent (over a 100 building packages) and more recently Oppihoek and La Bella Vida. We are looking forward to exciting future projects, watch this space! We are fully committed to a more qualified and professional industry. We stay up to date with the latest required qualifications and legislation as well as leading the way as we did in 2008 when we were among the first 80 agents in South Africa to earn an NQ4 through DITASA. We have always been registered with the EAAB (Estate Agency Affairs Board) and will also join IEASA (Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa) this year. We have seen a lot of agencies and agents come and go over the years but we believe that the industry has changed for the better due to tougher market conditions and a subsequent higher level of professionalism and qualification standards. We are in it for the long haul and will continue to provide our clients with great, personal service and will always strive to improve and keep up with or even stay ahead of an ever changing property market.
