Jeremiah 23:1-2
The Righteous Branch
Woe to the shepherds(Pastors) who destroy and scatter the sheep(people) of My pasture!(kingdom) says the Lord.
Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds(Pastors) that feed My people: You have scattered My flock(people) and driven them away and have not visited them.(never cared for them) I am about to punish you for the evil of your deeds, says the Lord.
The first group to be judged on that day is the group of Pastors, as Pastors we have a responsibility that is more important than of any man on earth. To care for your own soul is the most hardest task ever, now taking care of more than 20 souls/sheep is something else having to feed them, making sure that they understand careful what you feeding them, it's hard yes. But God has given us ability to do so, He provides us with daily strength to take care of His people more over He gives us a book of instructions of how to take care of those He place in our watch which is the Bible. So don't have any excuses to make after all.
The Bible has it all, but we sometimes wanna put our focus on things out of the Bible or rather we use what's on the Bible and interpret it to prove our own statement to be right hence God was using that certain script for His own interpretation. Some use there scripts to ; raise funds, humiliate other people, to buy the faces of the VIPs of their domination or to even creat name for themselves forgetting that all this that they're doing they are poisoning those who listens to them preach. Later on you find in the church they're those who don't speak to others they are fights of position like theres no order at all. Well I always say; if the head is lost so is the body. If the Pastor himself is not well with God his people will suffer too because they feed from him.
Pastors I know we human bound to make mistakes but a mistake we can't afford to commit is to try and lead the church by our own experience.
